Salaam!

I am Noor Aisha, a passionate teacher and a longtime resident of New York City. Every year as Ramadan comes around, my apartment feels quieter, the celebrations a bit more muted. The vibrant memories of family gatherings during Eid and shared iftars haunt me, making the city's vastness feel even more isolating.

The Beginnings:

As a young girl, I vividly recall our home echoing with laughter, tales, and the aroma of my mother's special biryani during festive seasons. However, time, as it always does, led us to different paths, and now most of my family resides on the opposite coast.

The Vision:

My heart aches to recreate those golden days, to be surrounded by the ones I cherish most during our sacred celebrations. To be able to hear my nieces and nephews play and to share stories with my siblings as we once did.

The Quest Begins:

That's when I discovered Dyur's platform. It offered a beacon of hope, a chance to realign my life closer to my beloved family while staying true to our shared faith.

Your Role:

Your support in this endeavor isn't just about funds. It's about understanding the depth of family ties, the importance of shared celebrations, and ensuring that traditions are passed down in the warm embrace of loved ones.

Why It Matters:

Every festive gathering missed is a page left blank in our family's storybook. Your contribution aids in filling those pages with vibrant memories, ensuring traditions are not just remembered but lived.

Join My Quest:

Together, let's bridge the miles that separate families. With your help, no one would have to celebrate alone, and the essence of our festivities would remain as vibrant as ever.

Conclusion:

Your support paints a brighter, more connected future for many like me. I'm eternally grateful for this chance to relive the cherished moments of our faith with my family.

Warmly,

Noor Aisha

Why New York?
Here are the latest trends in the NYC real estate market as well as the statewide market. A prolonged scarcity of properties on the market, along with high prices and high mortgage rates, continues to impede the New York housing market. According to the housing report released by the New York State Association of REALTORS®, the number of properties for sale declined for the 37th straight month in year-over-year comparisons, while mortgage rates remain more than double what they were at this time last year.

The number of available properties for sale fell by 12%, from 40,321 in November 2021 to 36,490 this month. In year-over-year comparisons, the months' supply of dwellings stayed unchanged at 3.2 months. Months' supply is the number of months it would take to sell the present inventory of homes at the current sales rate. A balanced market has a supply of six to six and a half months.
Graph depicting the median sale price trend in New York, NY, from 2018 to 2023. The line graph shows two trends: one for New York with prices fluctuating around $800K, indicated in black, and another for the United States overall, with prices around the $400K mark, shown in orange.
