Laila Hassan

Salaam!

Dive into the story of Laila Hassan, a once-thriving businesswoman in NYC. As the city's skyline changed, so did my financial landscape. From flourishing markets to a sudden dip, walk with me as I blend faith, fortitude, and finance in these changing times.

The Turning Point:

New York has seen me rise as a successful entrepreneur. But like the unpredictable winds of the city, an unforeseen market shift impacted my business.

With dwindling income, the home I'd dreamt of seemed to be slipping away.

A New Dawn:

Yet, within this test lay a blessing. The desire for a home wasn't just about a physical space but a haven aligning with my spiritual beliefs. A riba-free sanctuary where memories of overcoming challenges would resound.

Discovering A Way:

With unwavering spirit, I unearthed the world of Sharia-compliant home equity crowdfunding. Beyond the figures and rates, it presented a chance to achieve homeownership while staying true to my Islamic ethos.

Your Role:

Your support isn't merely financial. It's a testament to the strength of community and belief. By joining me, you echo the sentiment that faith can transcend even the most challenging financial adversities.

Why It Matters:

This journey reflects the aspirations of many who are at the crossroads of income changes. With your backing, we're creating an NYC narrative where resilience and Islamic principles triumph over fiscal downturns.

Be Part of My Renewal:

In the heart of this magnificent city, let's together write a tale of hope, persistence, and divine guidance. By being a pillar in my quest, you're championing a cause where faith and finance dance harmoniously.

Conclusion:

Deep gratitude for considering to be a part of this odyssey. Every gesture, whether a contribution, a share, or a prayer, amplifies hope. Let us come together, forging a future where challenges are but stepping stones to a riba-free abode.

Jazakallah khair,

Laila Hassan.

Why New York?
Here are the latest trends in the NYC real estate market as well as the statewide market. A prolonged scarcity of properties on the market, along with high prices and high mortgage rates, continues to impede the New York housing market. According to the housing report released by the New York State Association of REALTORS®, the number of properties for sale declined for the 37th straight month in year-over-year comparisons, while mortgage rates remain more than double what they were at this time last year.

The number of available properties for sale fell by 12%, from 40,321 in November 2021 to 36,490 this month. In year-over-year comparisons, the months' supply of dwellings stayed unchanged at 3.2 months. Months' supply is the number of months it would take to sell the present inventory of homes at the current sales rate. A balanced market has a supply of six to six and a half months.
Graph depicting the median sale price trend in New York, NY, from 2018 to 2023. The line graph shows two trends: one for New York with prices fluctuating around $800K, indicated in black, and another for the United States overall, with prices around the $400K mark, shown in orange.
