Jamal Ahmed

Assalamualaikum.

I'm Jamal Ahmed, a second-generation Bangladeshi American standing on the shoulders of my ancestors yet navigating the unique challenges of NYC's dynamic landscape. As the city pulsates with life, I seek a home that honors my heritage and faith.

The Beginnings:

Born in Jackson Heights, amidst the melodies of Bengali ballads and the aroma of biryani, I always felt the dichotomy of being deeply American and profoundly Bangladeshi. While my parents dreamt of prosperity, I added to that dream a desire for a home untouched by interest.

The Vision:

A dream crystallized: A home where Friday prayers and Thanksgiving dinners coexist. A place free from the weight of interest, where every corner speaks of my journey, merging Dhaka's spirit with NYC's verve.

The Quest Begins:

My journey wasn't just about finding a house and creating a home rooted in Islamic principles. Amid the city's bustle, I sought pathways to finance this dream without transgressing my deeply held beliefs.

Your Role:

I invite you to partake in this odyssey, a story where the east meets the West, and dreams are built upon faith. By supporting my venture, you're helping raise walls and championing a vision that bridges worlds.

Why It Matters:

Imagine an NYC where diverse stories like mine don't end in compromise, where homes are not just brick and mortar but legacies of faith. Your contribution aids in crafting a future where every Muslim New Yorker can proudly echo their unique tales of tradition and ambition.

Join My Endeavor:

Take a step with me as we walk through tales of generations, embracing our roots and aspirations. Your involvement is not just about funds; it's about fostering a world where dual identities find their rightful home.

Conclusion:

With heartfelt appreciation, I hope you'll join me in this quest. Together, let's pen a narrative of hope, resilience, and undying faith amidst the captivating saga of NYC.

Sincerely,

Jamal Ahmed.

Why New York?
Here are the latest trends in the NYC real estate market as well as the statewide market. A prolonged scarcity of properties on the market, along with high prices and high mortgage rates, continues to impede the New York housing market. According to the housing report released by the New York State Association of REALTORS®, the number of properties for sale declined for the 37th straight month in year-over-year comparisons, while mortgage rates remain more than double what they were at this time last year.

The number of available properties for sale fell by 12%, from 40,321 in November 2021 to 36,490 this month. In year-over-year comparisons, the months' supply of dwellings stayed unchanged at 3.2 months. Months' supply is the number of months it would take to sell the present inventory of homes at the current sales rate. A balanced market has a supply of six to six and a half months.
Graph depicting the median sale price trend in New York, NY, from 2018 to 2023. The line graph shows two trends: one for New York with prices fluctuating around $800K, indicated in black, and another for the United States overall, with prices around the $400K mark, shown in orange.
