The HomeFundMe organizer's ability to tell their story determines whether a fundraiser is successful. The story's text is critical, but pictures and videos help bring it to life. A short video describing why you need funding, how it will be used, and featuring the person or purpose you're raising it for can be highly compelling.

How to add a video to your fundraiser:

Our platform can only display videos posted to YouTube, so you’ll need to ensure your video has been successfully posted to YouTube first.

To upload your video to YouTube, follow these steps:

Create or sign into your account with YouTube Studio
Once signed in, click “Create” in the top right corner
Select “Upload videos” from the drop-down menu
Select your file to be uploaded
Once uploaded, you can continue to follow prompts to title your video and edit it to your specifications before officially uploading to YouTubeOnce you’ve set your specifications, you’ll select “Save” to complete the upload
