A new home fundraiser property's share price is the maximum offering amount divided by the number of shares in the initial series offering (example: 10,000 shares). Once the new offering is sold, the share price is the average of the lowest 10% of the available series shares. The share price may change based on the available sell orders, so it may not reflect the value of the property shares.
For example, say a total of 100 shares of Series 123 Main Street are offered at the following prices:
20 shares for $3 /per share
40 shares for $5 /per share
30 shares for $8 /per share
10 shares for $15 /per share
You would take the cheapest shares (in this case, 10 of 100 shares) to determine the share price. The price per share, therefore, would be $3.00.
